Management and Sales
Steve Soychak, General Manager and Integrator
Steve is the General Manager and Integrator for Twilight. He attended the University of Manitoba where he started his degree in medical sciences, then pivoted to computer science, before settling on business and accounting. Steve became CMA certified and began his career as a CRA auditor. He ultimately settled into an executive role and has spent most of his life in CFO roles. Steve brings a wealth of management and process experience to help drive efficiencies within the Twilight team.
Get to Know Steve
Steve was born and raised in Thunder Bay. The name Soychak is Slovakian, and the historical spelling is actually closer to “Soyjak”. He spent his childhood doing anything outdoors, which included hockey and skiing. He moved to Manitoba for University and spent most of his time in his 20s and 30s in Manitoba.
Steve currently lives just South of Collingwood with his wife Lorie. They have 3 children, ranging in age from 14 to 21, and they enjoy spending time outside skiing and playing hockey. Steve coached the hockey team for all 3 of his kids, and recently enjoyed the opportunity to play alongside his oldest daughter for a game.
Alison Maasland, Engagement Manager
Alison is our Engagement Manager, managing everything relating to human resources. She is the first point of contact for all candidates interested in joining the Twilight team. Alison is certified in health and safety and oversees the execution of our safety committee and related processes as well as being the information technology administrator for the organization. Alison started working with Twilight in 2011 in executive administration, and she has since taken a leadership position in her current role. Alison has a degree in Business Administration from Humber College and went on to continue her education in the Human Resources field while working at Twilight.

Alison was born in Etobicoke and grew up in Bolton. Her last name has Dutch origins, although both sides of her family currently reside in Canada. She grew up with one older sister and had varied interests as a kid which included soccer, track and field and piano. She attended Humberview Secondary in Bolton before launching into her post-secondary education.
Alison currently lives in Alliston earning her the name “Alison from Alliston”. She enjoys going to concerts, attending Toronto sporting events and spending time reading a good book!
Gloria Reid, Project Management Supervisor
Gloria is a remote project manager, and she’s based out of Newfoundland! You’ll likely work closely with her if you’re a member of our client's project management team. You would also work closely with Gloria if you’re one of our valued vendors or partner installers.
Gloria has worked with Twilight Signs since 2006 in project management. She has 13 years of experience within the signage industry, and she brings those years of invaluable experience to all of her projects.

Gloria attended Humber College, where she took quality assurance and accounting courses. She then started her career working in quality assurance within the aerospace engineering field, and her early work also involved ISO implementations.
Craig Pharoah, Sales and Marketing Manager
Craig is the Sales and Marketing Manager at Twilight. If you’re one of our clients, Craig is one of the individuals who will walk you through the steps of initiating a project with us. Craig spent the first 7 years of his career teaching, spending several of those years in Calgary before returning to Toronto. He then worked in various roles within the golf industry including as a Head Golf Professional, Director of Retail Operations, and National Sales Manager before transitioning into the signage industry with Twilight in 2016.

Craig was born and raised in Toronto. He grew up with 3 siblings and enjoyed playing numerous sports. He graduated from Queens University before launching into his professional career.
Craig currently lives in Orangeville with his two sons. His son Qaid is currently in grade 9, and his younger son Ehsan is in grade 6. Craig coaches both of their hockey teams and enjoys running and playing music in his spare time.
Chris Bean, National Account Manager
Chris is part of our sales and marketing team. If you’re one of our clients, Chris is one of the individuals who will walk you through the steps of initiating a project with us. Chris has a business and accounting degree from Western University and has several years of experience in sales and digital marketing roles.
Get to Know Chris
Chris was born in Brampton and raised in Caledon. He played competitive soccer growing up but ultimately turned to golf in his late teens. Chris previously owned and operated a family golf program in the Caledon area, where he provided kids with the opportunity to learn the game.
Chris currently lives in Caledon, and enjoys travelling whenever possible!
Renée Smith, Accounting Supervisor
Renée is our accounting supervisor. If you’re one of our clients, Renee is likely the one sending you the invoice. Renée started out her post-secondary education at Centennial College in Computer Programming, before achieving 98% in her accounting elective and discovering her affinity for accounting. She’s since worked in accounting roles her entire professional life, and she brings experience from various industries including pharmaceuticals and telecommunications.

Renée was born in Toronto and grew up in Scarborough. Her father was from Newfoundland, and her mother’s side traces back to the Algonquin and Mi’kmaq First Nations.
Renée currently lives in Woodbridge with her husband Steve, who works for a chemical company in the agricultural products division. Renée also lives with her son Josh, who is 21 and pursuing a career as a mechanic. Rounding out her blended family, she also has two adult stepdaughters, aged 19 and 24. As a family, they enjoy hopping on road trips and particularly enjoy exploring historical sites, tormenting the “kids” by stopping to read every historical plaque they see.
